Surface Preparation

1. New Surface
2. Remove dust, dirt, and foreign matter.
3. Old unpainted Surface
4. The surface should be free from loose particles, grease and any other foreign materials.
5. Remove all foreign and loose materials from the wall surface with help of emery stone, putty blade or wire brush and clean the surface with water.
6. In case of cracks or voids, it should be repaired by application of mix of 3-part Cetcrack and 1-part water / Cetcrete Latex.
7. Old Painted Surface
8. Scrub the surface with coarse wire brush / sand paper and clean thoroughly so that it is free from old paint/dust particles till the cementitious plastered surface is seen.
9. Very Rough Surface
10. If surface plaster is rough, apply 1st Cetplast UC level the surface. Cure the surface for 2 days, before starting putty application.
11. Very smooth Surface
12. If the surface is very smooth either old or new, scraping the surface with emery stone paper is recommended before putty application.
13. Efflorescence/ Salt disposition
14. Due to salty water or salts in sand/bricks, problem of efflorescence is observed; in that case, plastered surface should be treated with mild acid for 30 min, wash the surface thoroughly after that so no acid remains on the wall.

Mixing

1. Mix Cetcoat SF wall putty and 35-40% of water by volume to stiff consistency manually or by using suitable mixer.
2. For 40 kg Cetcoat SF wall putty, 14-16 liters of water are advisable.
3. Leave the mixture for 5 to 10 minutes for polymerization and remix.
4. Use within 90 minutes. Mix the product in such quantities that it can be used in specific time.

Application

1. The surface should be moderately rough and in just-wet condition (SSD condition).
2. Apply 1st coat of Cetcoat SF wall putty (1.5 mm thickness) using a blade/spatula on the wall with bottom to up direction.
3. Apply 2nd coat of Cetcoat wall putty (1 mm thickness) after 4 to 6 hours in other direction.
4. Allow complete drying for 3 days and then use fine emery paper to remove application marks, if any.

Coverage

1. 12.5 to 15 sq. ft./kg for 1.5 mm coating thickness.
