Polymer modified Block Laying adhesive

Cetfix BLA is polymer modified cement-based powder needs to be mixed with water for installation AAC block. The unique chemical combination enables this mortar to be more compact, thinner and more versatile at only 3 mm thick against 12 to 18 mm conventional mortar.

Features

Area of Application

  1. Laying and jointing of masonry, AAC blocks, fly ash bricks, and hollow blocks.
  2. Jointing of pre-stressed concrete slabs, panels.
  3. Jointing of concrete window and door frames.

Surface Preparation

  1. The base surface should be properly cured prior to application of joining mortar.
  2. The surface must be cleaned thoroughly, with no loose particles or dust.
  3. The surface must be structurally sound, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease, efflorescence and any other contaminant which could impair the natural bond.
  4. Surface defects such as cracks, holes or voids should be repaired prior to application.
  5. It is very important to pre-wet the blocks/bricks before the same is taken up for joining application with Cetfix BLA for best results and durability.

Mixing

  1. Mix 3 parts Cetfix BLA and 1 part of water by volume to stiff consistency. Leave for 5-minute, remix and use within 45 minutes.

Application Process

  1. Apply a thin uniform layer of Cetfix BLA 3 to 4 mm thick, on the levelled surface of masonry units using proper trowel.
  2. Place the next course of masonry units on the evenly laid jointing mortar bed in proper line & level.
  3. Clean the excess material, if any immediately, continue the procedure for the entire masonry works.

Coverage

  1. 40 to 50sqft per 40 kg bag at 6 mm bedding thickness.
