Area of Application
- Laying and jointing of masonry, AAC blocks, fly ash bricks, and hollow blocks.
- Jointing of pre-stressed concrete slabs, panels.
- Jointing of concrete window and door frames.
Surface Preparation
- The base surface should be properly cured prior to application of joining mortar.
- The surface must be cleaned thoroughly, with no loose particles or dust.
- The surface must be structurally sound, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease, efflorescence and any other contaminant which could impair the natural bond.
- Surface defects such as cracks, holes or voids should be repaired prior to application.
- It is very important to pre-wet the blocks/bricks before the same is taken up for joining application with Cetfix BLA for best results and durability.
Mixing
- Mix 3 parts Cetfix BLA and 1 part of water by volume to stiff consistency. Leave for 5-minute, remix and use within 45 minutes.
Application Process
- Apply a thin uniform layer of Cetfix BLA 3 to 4 mm thick, on the levelled surface of masonry units using proper trowel.
- Place the next course of masonry units on the evenly laid jointing mortar bed in proper line & level.
- Clean the excess material, if any immediately, continue the procedure for the entire masonry works.
